I'm trying to do better about making a note of places we've been in Louisville. We have no idea where we'll end up next year, so I want to make the most out of "right now." Lucas had his last Barrister's Ball a few weeks ago. We've been every year he's been in law school and this year we really weren't "feeling it." We decided we wouldn't go but after too much thinking about how this is the "last" time we'll go to a Barrister's Ball, we decided to get ready and head downtown!
I'm so glad we did. I got to meet a lot of Lucas' law school friends and we got to spend time with some old friends we hadn't seen in awhile. Plus the whole thing was at one of the neatest places I've ever been, Proof on Main. This place is pretty crazy.

There is restaurant in the front, and art gallery in the back, and a hotel upstairs. The decor in this place is so bizarre! It would be too much to write about it all, but every single piece in the gallery would blow your mind. One of my favorites is a life sized projection of a man and woman laying in bed..its just a video but its real time, and its just weird..like can't take your eyes off of it weird. Then there is another projection on a huge wall that shows letters falling...like its raining letters. Then you step up and next thing you know you are on the screen and the letters are falling all around you...but the neat thing is, you can catch them, kick them, and toss them. So weird...how does it know? And they have a cloud machine outside-its way cooler than its sounds! (If you go back up to that picture of Lucas and me at the top...look in the background at one of the pieces, see...told you).

And there are little red penguins everywhere...so random, but so cute!
