It was so nice that both our mothers were in town this weekend for Mother's Day. We met our families early on Sunday morning for brunch and we gave our mom's their mother's day gifts. We gave Lucas' mom a law school t-shirt (she has wanted one ever since he started school and we couldn't get our hands on one for some reason) and a Chico's gift card (this is her FAVORITE place to shop). And for my mom...well, we gave her cash. Yes, I know this is strange, but that's what she wanted!
My parent's neighborhood has turned into a large group of empty nesters over the past 5 years and everyone has bicycles! My mom has wanted one for about a year now, so she asked for cash from my brother and me so she could use it toward a bike. So funny. Lucas jazzed up her card with his sketch of a bike. He even put her name on it! haha! When I handed it to her, she thought it was a card-she had no idea he had drawn it!
